B2C Edition
As we mark 14 years in business, I’d like to take a few minutes to highlight some of the amazing companies we’ve worked with over the years.
My goal with Digital4Startups has been to help good companies get out into the market and achieve their goals. In the course of doing that, we have been lucky to work with companies that have become staples in our homes, lives, and work.
Here are four of the ones that have become essential to my life, B2C Edition:
Color Wow
Working with Gail Frederici and the amazing Color Wow team was a revelation, and they also introduced me to Dream Coat for Curls, the one hair product I truly cannot live without. (I even got my Mom hooked).
Before working with Color Wow, I was always paranoid about my wavy/curly hair and frizz. I wished I could have hair that “cooperated” like other people.
Then I met Dream Coat for Curls. I spray it on my hair after every shower, and my hair suddenly becomes cooperative and not too frizzy, without losing its curl or requiring a blow-dry.
All of their other products are amazing too – grateful to have been able to work with them.
CUUP
We helped launch CUUP bras when they were just getting started and doing fittings in an office bathroom.
In the years since, CUUP has grown tremendously and been acquired by Full Beauty Brands. They have not left my closet since day one and are the only bras I trust.
They come in a huge range of bands, cup sizes, and colors, and by not pivoting too far from their basic silhouettes, I know that even when I buy a new one, it will still fit (versus some other companies that seem like they’re reinventing their cuts every year, and the most comfortable bra one year just won’t work the next).
They also look cute and are comfortable. What more could you want?
O-Cedar
When we first started working with O-Cedar 8 years ago, or so, I didn’t own a mop. Now I own three. I also own their scrunges and their broom and their duster and… I could not have navigated motherhood without them.
The ProMist Max Spray Mop is THE perfect mop for being a parent. Whether my son spills something, has an accident, or gets water on the floor after bathtime, the ProMist is there for me.
With just one hand, I spray and clean everything up, and the Microfiber removes 99% of bacteria with just water, so I feel like I don’t have to try to figure out chemicals or anything more complicated.
I also love my H2prO Flat Mop. Being able to easily deep-clean with only clean water and use a mop with a wringer, without spilling, getting things messy, or taking up a lot of space, is transformative. All of O-Cedar’s products are amazing – their people are too – and I could not recommend them more highly.
Landmark Pest Management / ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention
We have worked with Landmark and ABC for the last 10+ years now, and their expertise continues to blow me away.
I literally emailed them the other day that there are “normal sized ants in my kitchen” and that spraying them hadn’t helped and got a reply from them informing me of the type of ants they are (just from that info), that spraying them again will make them worse, that they aren’t responsive to anything over the counter, and a phone call to help solve the problem in a way that will be safe for our whole family, pets included.
Seriously, no one knows more about bugs or about critters, or when it’s going to be bee season. If you are in the greater Chicago area, there is no one better (and we love that they’re a female-owned, family business!).
